The North Pennines is a very special place to live, work and visit. This is due in no small part to the hundreds of dedicated volunteers who give their time to support our communities, look after our landscape and heritage, and run the many and varied activities that take place in and around the North Pennines AONB. The Friends of the North Pennines (FOTNP) Volunteer Award celebrates the work of these volunteers. To be awarded annually, the FOTNP is currently seeking nominations for 2019. The winner will be presented with their award at the FOTNP Open Day in Nenthead on Saturday 15 June 2019. You can nominate any individual or group who has volunteered time to increase awareness of the North Pennines and its special qualities, or voluntarily looks after the North Pennines, promoting its conservation and protection and improving the physical and natural environment in and around the AONB. To make a nomination, please complete the form below. You will need to support your nomination with a short statement giving a description of the voluntary work done by the nominee and saying why you are nominating that particular individual or group. Nominations must be made by 1 June 2019. The nominations will be reviewed by the FOTNP board (whose decision is final). We will seek permission from nominees to feature their names and work on the FOTNP website, to help celebrate voluntary work in and around the North Pennines AONB. Please check that your nominee is happy to be nominated and for their contact details to be shared with the FOTNP board. The winner of the award will be notified by 7 June, prior to the award ceremony on 15 June.
Please make a nomination today and help celebrate the work of volunteers in and around the North Pennines AONB!
